The Count Down...

We are anxiously waiting to head to the airport. The question now is, how much sleep do I try to get in before arriving at the airport at 3:45am? If the rest of the week is any indication, the excitement of the journey will keep a me far from any sleep again tonight.
After our final group meeting this past Wednesday it all is starting to sink in, this is really happening. We signed ourselves up for some of the jobs that we will work on and talked more about the fun things we will do with the kids in the afternoons. What an amazing blessing to be able to do this work.
Thanks to all who have made this trip a reality and for the many generous donations from our friends at Oak Point and RSM McGladrey. Our luggage is loaded with simple needs for the children at the Hogar.
Tick-tick-tick goes the clock and I can't wait!
Peace,

Off we go!

In just a few hours we will leave for our big trip. I would just like to say thank you to all of my friends, family, and co-workers for the donations that filled my extra suitcase! I promise to send pictures and stories of how you touched the lives of so many people so far away.

Please keep us all in your thoughts/prayers as we travel and work in Comayagua, Honduras. We are looking to establish a long-term relationship with Tierra Santa that leaves a little bit of the Eden Prairie Schools in a third world country.

There are many fun activities we have planned with the children, and we can hardly wait!

Less than 24 hours!

We cannot believe the day is finally here! Along with many others, we have been anticipating this moment for months. We are so thankful for everyone who made donations for our trip...our suitcases are bulging. We are also very thankful for the support and prayers we have already received as well as those we will contiue to receive as we embark on this adventure.

It is our hope that during our short visit, we will touch many hearts and make a difference in the lives of the children of the Hogar. Keep watching here for updates and awesome photos!
